Navarino
Nature Center
Mission Statement
To educate people
of all ages on the importance of developing, promoting and maintaining natural resources
and wildlife habitat by supporting a nature center in the Shawano area to be utilized by
all surrounding communities.
Is Navarino worth supporting? More than 350 members of Navarino Nature Center (NNC) believe so. NNC provides programs to the general public and to public and private schools from the surrounding area. NNC would not be able to do this without volunteer efforts and donations.
Navarino Nature Center is a 501 (c) (3) private non-profit nature center,
which works in cooperation with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources on the Navarino Wildlife Area.
Currently,
Navarino Nature Center (NNC) is working on establishing a Naturalist Endowment Fund. This fund would allow the Nature Center to support
a full-time naturalist and assistants. NNC
has a naturalist, who currently schedules both public and private school programs, public
programs and events, as well as creating media and publications.
In addition to the
Naturalist Endowment Fund you may designate your funds to several other categories,
please inquire about these opportunities.
Navarino Nature
Center does not receive any direct support from government agencies.
